About Us
House Paws In-Home Veterinary Care was started in 1994 by Dr. Leah R. Knode to provide an in-home veterinary alternative for pets and their owners who stress when going to the vet.
Dr. Knode is a 1993 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and is licensed in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. She is also member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and a member of VIN, the Veterinary Information Network. VIN allows Doctors to consult on cases and access a knowledge base of veterinary medical information. With over sixteen years of experience, Dr. Knode attends the leading veterinary conferences each year for continuing education to meet or exceed the requirements of the licensing boards.
Critical Care and Emergency Veterinary Medicine are also areas in which Dr. Knode has an abundance of experience. She has worked at some of the areas leading emergency and critical care veterinary hospitals.
